Marian Glen

Marian is a Non-Executive Director of Friends Life Group and certain of its subsidiaries and is a member of its Remuneration Committee. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Shires Income plc (a listed investment trust managed by Aberdeen Asset Management) and of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme where she is a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees. She is an external member of the Audit Committee of The Water Industry Commission for Scotland, the economic regulator of the water industry in Scotland.

Marian was formerly General Counsel of AEGON UK and a member of its Executive Committee and of AEGON's Global Leadership Team. Prior to joining AEGON she gained experience as a solicitor in corporate finance both at Linklaters and Shepherd and Wedderburn, where she became Head of Funds and Financial Services.
