Sean Watson, Corporate Governance Consultant
Sean is an experienced Board governance consultant and works with Advanced Boardroom Excellence carrying out Board Review work. As senior corporate lawyer, adviser and non-executive board director, he has a wealth of experience in international business, corporate finance over the last four decades. Sean undertakes the board interviews, development of the recommendations and feedback to the board as appropriate.
Sean is the former CMS Cameron McKenna’s senior corporate finance partner. He has served on many boards, including currently as a non-executive director at Argus the Global energy and commodity news and price reporting agency, previous appointments have included NED of Informa PLC, a FTSE 100 company for nine years and previously chairman of global electronics company TT Electronics.
Sean was recommended in the Chambers Global and Legal 500 directories as a leading UK corporate lawyer. Sean qualified as a solicitor at Slaughter and May in 1972 and was invited to establish its Hong Kong office in 1974.
He has extensive experience in all areas of corporate finance, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reconstructions, public takeovers, Stock Exchange flotations and capital raisings and has also advised a number of investment banks including HSBC, DC Advisory Partners and Hawkpoint.
He is the Vice Chairman of Princess Alice Hospice.
Sean has a LLB honours degree, Law from Manchester University.
